Rebecca and I took a trip to the Grand Canyon area in August 1999. I wanted to see something really unique and found Havasu Canyon. It's an offshoot of the Grand Canyon located in Supai, AZ. There's a 12 mile hike into the canyon to get there, but it's well worth it. During the trip, we also visited some places in New Mexico: Gila Mountains, Carlsbad Caverns, and the UFO museum in Roswell.
