I've been playing with photography since high school. Back then I used my dad's camera, but since college I've had my own. As I delve deeper into the world of photography, I find more and more things that I want to learn about. Luckily, some of my good friends are accomplished photographers, so I always have a place to ask questions.

Here's my current setup:
Body: Canon Elan 7
Lens: Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
Flash: Canon 420EX Speedlite E-TTL
Battery Pack: Canon BP-300

I purchased this setup from B&H Photo in January 2002. You can't beat the prices and speedy delivery of B&H Photo.

I've been really impressed with this setup so far. The only problem I've had is that the small onboard flash causes a shadow in the photo when shot at wide angles. This is probably due to the size of the lens. This has been fixed with the addition of the Canon 420EX flash. :)

Here's my first setup:
Body: Canon AE-1 Program (First my dad's, then I bought one.)
Lens: Canon FD 70-210mm f/4

This camera has been everywhere with me. I've taken lots of great photos with it and it will now serve as my primary backup. It's probably 20 years old, but I don't think it'll ever quit taking great photos. No doubt a great camera to start with.

The other camera I carry in my bag is a Kodak ADVANTIX 4700ix. I use it for those quick shots when I don't want to pull out my main setup.
